Brief Description: Fairings, Avionics, Fire Sensor, Cowl priming
Started the finish process for the landing gear fairings. Used epoxy/micro to blend the lower intersection fairings into the wheel paints. Sanded all edges and squared the joints.
Wired and mounted a J-Type thermo couple to be used as the engine compartment fire detector. I'll set the warning at about 400 degrees to start and ajust after I've flown a couple of times.
Replaced the Pilot Skyview display with a new one sent from the factory since the original had some hardware deficiency.
Installed the 300XL Gps ant to the top of the glare shield.
Configured both Skyview displays to show the fire detector and uploaded the current s/w version of the new display.
Prepared both upper and lower cowlings with detergent and cleaned thoroughly. Using stewart charcoal grey primier I painted each with about 4 light coats. Will sand down to fill pin-holes tomorrow.
