I had considerable difficulty with rivetting the AN470AD4 rivets. I had spent some time practising on scrap pieces with mixed results. Ultimately I found that I could achieve good results by:
1. reducing the air pressure on my 3X river guin to 60PSI (from 90 PSI) 2. taking great care to ensure the gun was straight 3. placing a luittlke masking tape over the snap 4. keeping fairly strong down ward pressure on the gun
I had tried standing the bulkheaed on its top (supported by the mid seat rail supports). I found however that the gun would often jump as it was difficult to keep the builkhead complketely still.
I resolved this problem by layiing either end of the bulkhead across two tables (with wheels locked). This way I had easy access to the rivets while the largfe spar bars provided complete support. The bulkhead didn't move at all during rivetting.
I spent a lot of time working tghrough this piece.
