Brief Description: Dissassemble, counter sink, enlarge holes & primer
The bushing holes on the center section of the bulkhead were a bit of a concern. When then the center section was fabbed by Van's, the edges were reduced a bit too much. As a result, when the 5/8" bushing holes were drilled using a unitbit placed in the Van's placed pilot holes, the outer edges became very thin. I spoke to Van's and the said as the holes are not structural (they only hold busihings), this would not be a problem.
I have decided to prime unexposed fusealge parts using Sherwin Williams DTM (direct to metal) wash primer. Exposed surfaces will be professionally primed and painted.
