Brief Description:  dimpling elevator parts

Completed disassembly and dimpling of the right elevator parts. I also machine countersunk the upper flange of the rear spar tp allow mounting the trim tab hinge.

For the machine countersinking the rear spar, the flange bent significantly under tool pressure. To control the distortion - and so get accurate countersinks, I set the micro-stop countersink in the drill-press, and then pul an MDF block under the flange. Easy, and it worked well. Adjusting the angle of the MDF block also allowed me to countersink the trailing edge with better accuracry and control than doing it by hand.

While checking things over, I also noticed that I had forgotten to machine countersink the flanges of the Horizontal Stabilizer forward spar. I'l be doing that before as soon as I have done the left elevator.
