Brief Description:  HS Dis-Assembly

started dis-assembly of the HS for dimpling, counter sinking and final deburring.

Removed the rear spar, and counter-sunk the flange holes to accept the dimpled skins, The micro-stop countersinking tool overhung the flange while countersinking the last hole at each end of the spar, and it seems that I did not properly account for this on the right-hand end of the spar - both of these holes ended up being countersunk too deeply. My initial attempt to correct this only made matters worse, so I remounted the rear spar into the skins, and match-drilled these holes for 1/8" rivets. The initial counter sink in the spar flanges fit these rivets well, so I didn't need to re-countersink those holes. The change to 1/8" rivets on these two outer-most holes should not adversly affect strength, and should be almost un-noticable.

removing and dimpling the inspar ribs is proceeding - so far uneventfully. I am labeling each rib as I go, but i will need to transfer these labels to something else for the alodine treatment and priming.
