This morning I attended the EAA chapeter 245 open house. I'll be joining that chapter - they seem to be good people, and they have a great workshop. While there, I looked closely at the flush rivets on the RVs ( a 4, two 7As, and an 8). The heads look (and feel) to be set to the same depth as mine, so I feel good about that.
When i got home, I re-inspected each of the rivets in the VS skinn, and marked the ones that I wasn't satisfied with. Some were slightly underdriven, while 2 were clearly overdriven. The underdriven rivets were reset and I drilled out and replaced the overdriven rivets. I am now satisfied with all of the rivets in the VS.
I now have to break down the workshop and move it to Richmond, then it will be on to the Rudder
