I fabricated the top of the mould from two pieces of MDF, through which I dilled a pair of holes - centered on the parting line, to permit lead to be poured in and air to excape. These top pieces are glued to the MDF mould oeices using wod glue.
I also fabricated a pair of aluminum disks which will be used to form the counterbores on the flat side of the counterweights. Each disk is taped in the center to thread onto a #10-24UNC machine screw, which also forms a hole through the counterwieght. After casting, this hole will be drilled out to form the bolt holes for mounting the counterweight on the elevator.
