11/26/18 Received the replacement instrument panel bulkhead from Zenith. 2.5 Hours Up drilled bottom flange of bulkhead to A4. Marked center line of upper flange. Mounted bulkhead in aircraft. Backed drilled through glare shield into bulkhead upper flange, starting at center working outward, alternating left and right, clecoing as I went. Paul stopped by. Help me locate mag kill leads on engine. We talked about firewall wire pass through and engine ground point.
11/27/18 Called Zenith about ordering instrument package. Ordered some electrical stuff from ASS. 2.0 Hours Clecoed instrumeent face plate to instrument bulkhead then removed duo from aircraft. Back drilled through faceplate into bulkhead for starter, choke, throttle and flap, Back drilled all #40 attachment holes. Deburred. Reinstalled duo into aircraft for safe keeping.
11/28/18 After corrections, had Zenith to go ahead with instrument package. Write BIG check next week. 1.5 Hours Removed duo instrument panels. Drilled refief holes in corners of retcangles. Removed faceplate. Used cut-off wheels, Xacto saws and a saber saw to cut out rectangles in bulkhead. Practice improves results. Will dress up holes tomorrow.
