10/6/19 2.0 Hours Got the dihedral a little closer. Measured from strut mounting hole to three inches past wing strut mounting hole, about 91 inches both sides. Marked left strut and using a hack saw, cut off excess. Trial fit left strut to aircrft. The upper end would not get up to wing fitting by about 6 inches. Mounted left door to see how much it would open with wing in place. Looks good.
10/7/19 2.5 Hours Cut right strut 91 inches from lower strut fitting bolt hole with hacksaw. Trial fit. It also would not reach up to wing fitting by about 6 1/2 inches. Paul arrived to help with struts but can not mount until I get answer about strut not reahing up to wing without putting pressure on strut. Bleed brakes.
10/8/19 Posted the strut problem on "Zenith Builders and Flyers". Got a response to just bend the tab. Called Zenith/Roger and he said the same. 3.0 Hours Spent most of the time getting the right upper strut fitting to go onto wing fitting. Next plane, do before wings are mounted. Paul showed up with a 16" adjustable wrench. Between the two of us, bent the fuselage tabs up slightly. Look like the left one is on. Have to cut down right strut to check it.
