Brief Description:  Flaperon controls and cowling

12/23/19
1.9 Hours
Up drilled the ten upper cowl camloc holes to 15/32" to accept the camloc grommets Used castle nuts on the flaperon control spacer to test the clearance with the arc slot. All is well with both up and down flaps. Used metal stamp set to stamp LI, LO, RI and RO on back surface of counter weights.

Up drilled lower cowl camloc holes to 31/64". Tried camlocs to join upper and lower cowls. Still need a few longer ones than the -8s. Cut off and dressedf aft corner of left front motor mount to give more clearance to radiator hose. Put cowling back on aircraft.

Cowling back off. Studied radiator hose routing and Adel clamps needed. Permanently (?) mounted right OB flaperon. Looks to me that the attach bolts should be drilled with castle nuts and cotter pins because they turn with the movement of the flaperon. Think I'll change them out.
