Brief Description:  Flaperon counter weights & cowl

12/8/19
Received flaperon counter weights drilled to 5/8" from Dave Calar.
1.0 Hour
Tried the counter weights on the flaperons. The two IB ones right on. The two OB still need to be lighter. I am going to go with 7/8" as in one of the fourms. Dressed the back edge of top cowl.

12/9/19
Received the camloc studs from ASS. Droped the two OB flaperon counter weights off at Dave's tp be up drilled to 13/16".
1.7 Hours
Installed the longer camloc studs into the cowl. Installed the prop hub and spinner to get the correct spaceing for the cowl at the top foreward skin. Pilot drilled top cowl into top skin. Cowl back onto bench and that is when I noticed that I had ordered the wrong camloc studs to go into the 4002 receptacles. They are holding on the bench but would come apart under load. Ordered correct ones from Wicks. Dave stopped by to drop off counter weights. We tried them on the OB flaperons and they are perfect. Borrowed a 2600 camloc receptacle from Paul so I can start the drilling process.

Removed cowling to bench. Used a screw w/wingnut to hold recptacle in place and back drilled through rivet tabs into top skin. Cowl back on and marked location of camlocs on lower cowl. Pilot drilled the six locations and clecoed.
