Cut-out the NACA scoops in the top cowling. First one took an hour and a half. The second one took 30 minutes.

Had Paul over after the monthly EAA chapter meeting. With one of us on each side, were able to bend the oil cooler mount back a little more. Tried the cowlings on and they fit this time. Cowlings back on workbench to drill some pilot holes. Dallas stopped by and betweem the two of them (both have homebuilts) they convinced me to replace the Zenith cowling screw/nutplate system with camlocs. Will order some.

11/3/19
3.9 Hours
Continued with pilot holes. Clecoed cowl halfs together. Removed spinner, prop hub, etc. Put the clecoed together cowl onto aircraft. Reinstalled prop hub, spinner etc to be able to center cowling. Marked skin at back edge. Moved cowing back onto table. Measlured marked line to 10mm in front of rivet line then marked the cowling that distance for cut-off.
