Cut shelter door to fit around nose of aircraft. Refined the centering of top cowl. Put windshield in place. Photo manual says to cut cowl about 5mm in front of firewall rivet line. With windshield and rubber weather stripping in place, it is more like 30 to 35mm, With Norma at the right lower strut bolt, I was able to lift wing enough to back bolt out a little so washer and nut could be added. Now all wing mounting bolts (8 total) have nuts in place.

Trimmed with snips top skin back so it is even with lower skin per Photo Manual. Using step drill, drilled relief holes in corners of oil door recess. Drilled 10 A4 holes in oil door hinge.

4.1 Hours
Cut opening for oil door with Dremel cut-off wheel. Clamped hinge to cowl then drilled and clecoed. Fit door in place. Bend door slightly to match cowl. Trimmed 1/4" off upper edge. Made spacer from two pieces of L angle to go between hinge and door. Drilled, deburred and riveted door to hinge. Drilled hole for dzus fastner.. Put upper cowl back on aircraft then windshield on top of cowl to verify amount to cut off. Outside temp droped from 48F at 9AM to 32F by 1PM.
