Brief Description: Stabilizer shims and elevator pulleys
7/16/19 4.2 Hours Fabricated the two forward shims from some large, thick L angle. Not quite thick enough. Still need a regular L angle shim. Made bracket for lower elevator pulley. Disassembled and deburred. Make template to be able to drill holes from top. Drilled a couple of holes through template into top skin and clecoed
7/17/19 1.5 Hours Finished back drilling through template into top rear fuselage skin. Norma applied Cortec to bracket parts and to shims. Refined thin L angle shims for front stabilizer attach tabs. Clecoed lower pulley brackets to inside of tail and clecoed pulley into place for fit. Awaiting new AN5 bolts.
7/18/19 4.0 Hours Up drilled lower pulley bracked to A4, deburred and riveted into place. Remounted stabilizer with new foreward shims. Fin on and off a couple of times for bottom edge clearance. Not much in build instructions on spaceing so I estimated distances from rivet spaceing on drawings. Clamped fin L angles into place. Used bar clamps to narrow fin at foreward end.
