4/15/19 Received electrical parts from Steinair ordered 3/27. 4.1 Hours Two hours more on the windshield to get it to fit better across the glareshield. Trimed some more on the left lower aft section. Removed the instrument panel to take home for covering and lettering. Filed the cutouts for the foreward cabin brace to give more clearence sanded some rough spots on instrument cutouts. Started on the left door. Cut the top square tube to length. The hinge already had three pre-drilled holes front and rear.
4/16 5.2 Hours After having the instrument panel covering under the carped for a week to flatten it, cut a piece a little lagger than the panel. Layed piece flat on table and peeled backing paper off. Layed the panel on the very sticky covering and pressed. Turned over and rubbed covering onto panel. Cut out the large holes for the Dynon power panel and map box Used the piece from the Dynon opening to cover the map box door. Layed out rivet line for door hinge that is riveted to top squar tube. Pilot drilled hinge. Clamped hinge to tupe and back drilled. Up drilled to #30. Used deburring tool to make counter-sink holes (iabout 80 reveloutions) for the A4 rivets. Removed hinge and deburred tube. Clecoe hing back onto tube and riveted using flat rivet head. Drilled rivet line on top part of hinge then clecoed to top window rib. Back drilled and up drilled.
