I decided to allign and match-drill the HS rear spar on the wing jig (per the plans) instead of on my workbench as I originally intended. To that end, I asssembled the plasma cutter. It easily zipped through the .040" aluminum test piece I tried. It remains to be seen how it does on the 3/16" steel from which I'm building the jig. I also took apart my cheap Harbor Freight hammer drill which hasn't worked for years. Turns out it was just a bad plug! I'll use the hammer drill to set anchors for the jig into my shop's concrete floor.
