Imade a new front spar doubler from the .063" 2024-T3 alclad stock I got from Aircraft Spruce. The process is essentially the same as the first one I made. I was more careful with the bending brake but still managed to overshoot the angle on both bends by a couple of degrees. I bend them back to the requied 8 degrees. Since the overshoot was small, I'll call this one good.
I made a few 1.25" strips from 0.025" aluminum sheet. These will be used to locate the ribs onto the HS spar and many other similar alignment jobs later on.
I bought a cross slide vise for my drill press to get better accuracy on certain drilling jobs. I had to make t-bolts since Harbor Freight doesn't seem to carry any.
