I spent some time trying to get my newly acquired pneumatic rivet squeezer to work. I had purchased an adjustable set-holder from "The Yard Store" but found that it wouldn't fit. I ground and polished the sides of the set-holder until it would slip easily into the squeezer body (no doubt voiding the warantee on that $60 part). Then I found that my standard 3/16" rivet sets wouldn't fit into the set-holder because the openning was too small. I had to pass a 3/16" drill bit through it. After all that, the pneumatic sqeezer failed to produce enough pressure to squeeze the 1/8" rivets used on the HS rear spar. I realized later that I should have tried adjusting the holder since the squeezer generates maximum force at the very end of its stroke. Next time.
Anyway, I used my hand squeezer to set the rivets in the HS rear spar. They came out great except for on which didn't get fully seated before I squeezed it. I drilled it out and replaced it with no problem.
