The first task is to break the edges of the rear spar strips of the horizontal stabilizer so they fit tightly within the spar webs. I took the guide off my belt sander and adjusted it to the horizontal position. This turned out to be a good tool for the job as it removes metal pretty quickly yet allows good control. II got one of the spar strips pretty close to the correct shape today by sanding a little then testing the fit against the web. Just takes some patience.
