Spent a couple of hours searching for a cheap plasma cutter, arc-welder, and supplies since I plan to make the wing and fuselage jigs from steel. There's also a couple of steel parts that need modification from the RV-4 to fit the Rocket. I decided on a stick type arc-welder since that's the kind I've used the most and it's cheap to buy and operate. Not sure if I trust myself to make good flight-critical welds but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it I settled on the Lotos LT5000D 50A Air Inverter Plasma Cutter which I ordered through Amazon. I was about to order the Lincoln Electric K1170 AC225S Stick Welder through Amazon as well until I saw a comment that Home Depot carries them for less money. Sure enough, my local store has them in stock. I'll go tomorrow and pick one up.
