Brief Description:  Install pop rivits into the windscreen fairing

The plans call for "optional" cs4-4 aluminum countersunk rivits to be used to secure the bottom windscreen fairing to the aluminum top skin. This would have been easier and less time consuming if I hadf remembered to do it after the glass cloth cured and before all the top coauts and sanding started. Decided to do it this morning first thing.

Started at the center front and marked position and then 4 more rivit locations on each side for a total of 9 rivits. I spaced them aprox 4 inches apart

Drilled the holes to #30 and then counter sunk. I made sure I countersunk down to the top layer of flass cloth since that is stronger than the micro filler applied above.

I installed the rivits and inspected from below by looking thru my panel access door.

Squeezed the rivits and then filled the holes with epoxy.

Later in the day, I sanded and applied another coat of filler

Sanded all the other areas that had epoxy applied this morning and yesterday.
