Brief Description:  windscreen upper fairing aft edge final cut to fit

Goal today was to mark the fairing over the top to where it will just cover the canopy bow aft edge when closed. Also to trin the fairing level with the canopy skirt when closed too.

I first marked along the canopy using a popsicle stick from inside aft edge of the bow and marked the edge on top surface. This line is not visible when closed. So I then made anothe line 1 inch aft of the just marked. I then marked that edge with tape and closed the canopy tight. I then transfered the line back fwd with a caliper and marker onto the fairing. I applied tape along that line to make it easy to cut to with dremel.

Opened canopy and taped up a dust barrier and then cut the fairing excess material to the tape line.

Block sanded the fresh cut edge to the edge of tape smoothly

removed all the tape and sanded the bottom edge fo the fairing some and made sure no sharp edges. The edge is fairly thick now and will require putting in a nice bevel later.

I also trimmed and removed excess material from the lower part of fairing that overlaps the skirt. Lined the bottom edge up with the skirt bottom edge. Not sure how I should finish out the edge at this point. Either leave it blocked or posiibly bevel to the edge.

closed up the canopy and the fit looks acceptable

ready the area again with dust barrier and will bevel the edge next time out.
