Brief Description:  windscreen fitting -2

I removed the poorly secured tape and bubble wrap on front screen surface and taped up with blue painters tape for protection while fitting.

Yesterday I started fitting the windscreen and beagsn lining the screen up to the canopy. The vinyl tube that I was using and foam tape was somewhat helpful for initial fitting but needed something that didnt compress when clecoed. I found some nylon #8 nuts at hardware store whisc are about the thisckness of 3 nylon washers and will eleminate some stacking. I can round the edges if Im worried about looks from inside the cabin. I also super glued several washers in pairs. This will allow me to use three different sizes to fit the screen

The no 6 screws require a 37 drill for optimal tap. Didnt have one but a 5/64 is real close. Used that instead. I would put the cleco in to get the angle of pilot hole drilled in my head and then lined up and drilled it up to 5/64. Deburred hole and did this around the bar except for each bottom end and one that was misalligned.

Tap each hole drilled to #6-32

Did another fit test and have a pretyy good idea of the spacer requirements.

waiting for glue to dry on washers so Ill call it quits today
