Brief Description:  Rivit canopy and canopy skirt to frame

Clecoed the canopy and skirt to frame.
Set some 136 CS4-4 aluminum pull rivits to secure the skirt and canopy to the frame.
Some rivits gave me trouble and I used a #30 reamer to run thru the holes.

I also had a dozen holes or so that were just pilot drilled due to the keeper rivits in the way so I drilled those up to #30 and then also countersunk before setting those rivits

Some of the rivit stems did not cut off flush for some reason and I will need to grind them down before covering with epoxy ofcourse

The canopy front bow is still clecoed because I still need to counter sink them before setting those rivits. Ill do that next time possibly.

******Caution!!*** Learn from my error here. I got carried away and used CS4-4 rivits almost everwhere. Infact, AACQ4-4 rivits are called for along the skirt to canopy top lip all the way around. About 70 rivits or so I think. I used CS4-4 there instead by mistake except for about a dozen that I couldnt fit and then ralized my mistake and used proper rivits on them.
The CS4 rivits have carbon steel stem. The AACQ4 rivits are aluminum stem. I could really tell the difference in force required to squeeze the CS rivits versius the AACQ ones. My thought is the plexy is prne to cracking if too much force is applied and so the lighter duty rivits used . No cracks heard or nboticed on mine but I will be calling Vans for advice. Drilling them out might be more risk than just leaving alone. We will see.
