Brief Description:  canopy removal and prep to receive skirts

Drilled out the 20 keeper rivits holding canopy to frame. I found it much easier to drill if a springloaded center punc is used first to back the rivit center pin out. Otherwide you cant get drill started center. Most all rivits came out ok. Top head pops off clean. A couple just spun in hole and did not cooperate well. I had clecos on each side of every pop rivit while drilling.
Once all rivit heads removed, I uncleco and relieve tension on canopy all along one side and then the other.
Carefully romoved the canopy with the gibs help.
Now to push rivits in to the frame. This took longer than taking canopy off actually. Drilling and center punch work got the job done.
Sanded the down tubes with 220 grit paper to try and remove the epoxy that ended up on them when making the fillets. I didnt have tape or wax paper around the tubes when I did that and now I have this mess to clean up. I got it all removed with just a dulling of the paint finish. I can wet sand and try to bring some shine back but I will just have to live with result I think. I do have an idea to cover it up later if it bugs me.
Went through all the holes in the plexi bubble with counter sink on both sides
Cleaned up metal and fiberglass sanding dust.
