Brief Description:  Canopy cutting-2

1. Decided to cut the side lips from the canopy bottom edge off today. Positioned the canopy back on saw horses and let sit in the sun this late morning-only 79 degrees out but temp under the canopy was 82 when I started cutting. I found it easy to cut while sitting under the canopy cutting with the dremel from inside rather than trying to get around that lip from out side. Once off the sanding and polishing began-dont need no stress cracks!
2. This nex step is basicly a series of positioning the canopy on the fram and fuselage, making a scribe line on the front bottom windscreen so that it will sit down on the fwd upper skin, moving to saw horses and then cutting, sanding, and then doing again. I was only removing about 1/4 inch at a time i think so it was many trips back and forth and repeated sandin operations. The Windscreen is sitting fairly nice on the fwd upper skin and is about 1/2 inch above the roll bar and canopy bow now. Ive clamped the side to the canopy frame too see changes in the front and also need to decide what to do with the aft end-cut more or wait. This is the hardest part-deciding how to make this fit! Cutting seems to be going easy enough. Wheer and how much is the nerve racking part!
