Brief Description:  engine baffle seals-1

Marked the baffles 1 inch down from top edge. This will provide the estimated bottom edge of the gap seals.

Marked another line 1/2 inch down from the top of baffle edge. This will be the rivit line.

Marked rivit locations on the left and right side baffles and the aft baffle.

Drilled the rivit holes into the baffles with #30 drill

Cut strips of gap seal all 3 inches tall

The sides were first and not too difficult. I stopped at the point where the bafle curves down to the intake area. This curve looks tricky and not sure how to handle it yet. The strips I made for the sides have a break where the cylinder baffles come together so that they can be removed if necessary. I also overlapped them. I would hold the seal in place with a wood block and match drill the rivit hole and then cleco in place one at a time.

Did the same for the aft baffle as the sides. Im having trouble trying to get the seal to follow the line for bottom edge and so I either used a short strip piece where the curve is and then a longer piece that could just follow the average of the curve. Tried cutting notches in the bottom edge of seal but that doesnt work very well either. I think what Ive got so far will be fine. the rest looks to be difficult.
