Brief Description:  Upper cowl hrozontal paint relief cuts and hinge w

1 Worked the right side nose schrew holes for better fit and finally fot all thre screws in nicely.

2. With cowl still in place I marked areas that need more sanding along firewall for better paint relief as well as marking the horizontal cut area between the cowl halves. Ended up just removing upper cowl and scribing a 1/16 sanding line and then applying paint tape along the line.

3. Sanded down to the tape edge with block sander

4. Made better reliefs in the nose where the hinge pin exits. Did this on both cowl halves

5. Install upper cowl and tested the hinge pin install and removal. Works good for now but needs refining. Also checked my paint relef lines. They look fine and will hopefully look less noticable after paint.

6. Sanded down the upper cowl inside and out with 60 grit and 80 grit paper. Smoothed the edges. Cleaned up some overhang areas that I had marked.

7. Counter sunk all the rivit holes on upper cowl for the left and right horizontal hinges. This stuff destroys the cutters and can see that I will need to buy some more quickly.

8. mixed batch of epoxy and cabosil mix to honey consistency and applied to the area where the left hinge goes and then clecoed on the hinge. I wiped off the excess epoxy that oozed out along the edge to preserve a clean edge.

9. Squeezed flush rivits to every other hole and cleaned each cleco in acetone as I removed them. Layed the cowl on edge so that the epoxy wont seep out overnight. I will finish setting the remaing rivits next time. And then on to the right side.
