Brief Description: Tail light mounting ring final instal and ground w
2 Hours?? Yes! I could not get this housing wire secured to the darn mounting ring to save my life but persistence paid off and now I can tell you I will never unscrew that wire again.
Started by riviting on the mounting ring for tail light/strobe. I left one hole for a screw to attach a ground per plans.
Once rivited, I sanded all around the mounting ring to remove edge.
Drilled the last rivit hole to 9/64 and then counter sunk for the #6 screw head.
Managed to get a ring type connector secured to the screw with lock nut. Verified continuity.
Put dab of solder on ring conector and nut since I dont plan on removing it.
Added shrink tube to the connection and crimped on a but splice on end of the pig tail for the wire to rib brace. I figure that since this cap will be rivited on, this particular wire does not need to be removable.
