Brief Description:  rt skirt gap filling rounds 2 and 3

1. Removed wood brace holding the problem skirt area down and removed wax paper. Sanded off the rough epoxy that oozed out front and back. Closed canopy and the fit is much better now. I was not able to epoxy all the cut slots at one time due to the curve in the body so I needed to do it in two sessions. Basicly the same as yesterday, cut some bid 3"x6" and saturated in epoxy mix and applied to the back side of the remaining slits fwd of the ones done yesterday. Added cotton flox to remaining mix an applied to the slits from outside and smoothed out. Covered area with wax paper and braced with a wood block against the fuse to harden. Hopefully it works as well as the others. If so, only minor work closing gaps will be required going forward.

2. Six hours has now passed since I applied fast drying epoxy to the remaining cuts and bid to back side. I had It clamped during that time and so I removed clamp and and wax paper and rough sanded the high spots and edge and underside just for general idea of what I have. It looks ok but minor gaps still visible but much much reduced. I cleaned it up and prep for another round of epoxy. Round 3.

3. Mixed batch of micro to toothpaste consistency and applied to the underside of problem area. closed canopy onto some wax paper. This squished all the excess epoxy out and hopefully will fill the remaining gaps. I then smeared some of the left over epoxy to outer surface to fill voids in cuts.
