Brief Description:  Pressurize and leak test the fuel line thru red cu

Started off the day by Pressure twsting the fuel lines from the cabin side fuel filter to the end of the hose before it connects to the engine fuel pump. I eventually found the first leak was at the top of my gascolator where I had sealed off with a 1/8 brass pipe plug. Couldnt get it to seal. I decided to get another one that was a bit longer in length from hoime depot. With a little thread seal, I got it air tight. Then the next leak was at the cabin side filter on both ends. Got them tightened up. Thru all this,I could never get any leak detection from the input or out put sides of the red cube including the coupler. That was what I was worried about in the first place. I tested to 30 pounds of pressure. The carb only uses about 6 lbs anyway.

Then I started to cut off the old style terminals from my cylinder head temp probe wires and reconnect with some I purchased on line. A 3 M product. I spent some time doing a test piece with spare thermo wire. Even cut the plastic off and took some measurements so I could get consistant stripping of the insulator and then mark a refrence for how far to insert the wire so that I get a good double crimp. This worked great for 2 wires but I was using some that I had in my kit form something else. When I got to the ones I purchased from 3M , I found they didnt have the longer metal barrel and thus no double crimp possible. DANG! I had called Dynon and complained a couple days ago and they are sending the correct terminals. So I shall wait and see if they are what I want. If not, Ill use these and add heat shrink for supporting the wire better. I got spoiled with the aviation grade terminals!
