Brief Description:  696 and xponder angles. SL40 mount

Finaly got the angles drilled so that the 696 and xponder line up square and out from front where I want them. Once I was satisfied, I clamped it all in place and drilled a line of 10 holes on each side for 3/32 flush rivits. I then debured and counter sunk the holes in panel. It seems like a lot of rivits but I wanted to use 3/32 and not the larger 1/8 size since I was afraid I didnt have enough edge distance for them after I cut the angle to fit. I hope they will not be too noticable after its all together and painted

Moved on to the Garmin sl40 comm and filed the opening in panel until I had the best fit

Cut two pieces of angle for brackets on the tray. Marked for drill holes and drilled. Came out nice and it fits the way I want. But after looking at it, I think I may re do the brackts so they are a bit longer. This will give a bit more edge distance for the machine screws

I havent decided if I will Use machine screws for this mount or rivits like I did on the other.
