Brief Description: Transponder cut out work-3 and fitting for angle b
After working on the fiberglas tips today ( see other entry from today) I turned my attention back to the transponder cut out. I decided that I need to forget about trying to get this to fit so that the face plate covers the cut lines. It wont work. So I had to inlarge the hole so that the faceplate will fir through. CClamped ruler in place and cut the hole open and then spent a good deal of time fileing and sanding to fit and finish. I think it will work now and it looks ok
Measued for an aluminum angle to attach the tpdr tray to the panel. I cut the angle to length and also cut some on each end to fit in next to the steam gauges top and bottom. This will be the tr side bracket and will also beused to mount the air gizmo mount. That mount will require some spacers for fit.
Marked drill after I set the transponder in panel such that the face plate will stick out just as far as the air gizmo mount. Taped in place and punched. Drilled for #8 screw.
