Brief Description:  Adjusting ailerons to neutral position and miscela

1. I needed to make sure the ailerons were both in neutral trailing position when the control stick was in its center neutral position. To do this I bought 48 inch aluminum angle for each side on the wing tips. The obd most wing rib that has 3 tooling holes that line up on the center cord. I marked the center of the angle and also the hole locations were transferd over and drilled to #12 for an3dash bolts. Bolted this to the rib and lined up the aileron trailing edge and clamped in place. I noticed right away that the stick was not centered anylonger and that I had some adjusting to do. I made a second angle for the left side and installed. When I clamped the aileron in trail, the control stick was perfect. I could see that the right aileron was about a 1/4 inch low. I figured that if I could shorten the push rod that connects the aileron bracket to the bell crank, that it would pull the aileron up. So I had Brenda watch while I worked in the access area under the wing. I removed the rod from the bell crank and turned the rod end bearing into the rod 6 half turns. This was done a couple turns at a time and install and check. 6 was the majic number and now the ailerons are even steven!

I put the rear floor in so that when I get the flap rods built and installed I will be able to check for proper clearence through full range of flap movement. To get the floor in, I needed to remove the flap actuation weldment and the flap motor connection. got floor in and reinstalled the weldment

The rest of my time was spent reading the fuselage build instructions from pg 1 to where quick build kits are asked to start around pgt 42. It appears that 12 bolts in the center bulkhead spar section were not instaled by the factory and not caught by me until now. I then found wher it says to install these bolts but way before page 42. This will have to be a priority task as soon as the wings come back off.
