Applied another layer of 80z glass to aft rollbar fairing and peel plied. This makes 3-4 layers on aft edge depending on how much I end up trimming off. Layers are staggered and so they are thicker as I move to center.. After removing the tape from canopy glas and shutting the canopy, I traced a line on to the canopy glass for the aft edge of the fairing. Looks like ill be able to trim up to 1/4 inch off to make nice.
Since I used fast drying westsystems hardner, I was able to remove the peel ply late in the day and survey. Looks like this will be thick enough....I hope.
Mixed several batches of epoxy with cotton flox and added gray pigment this time. This color will allow me to tell how much I sanded off once I see black again and it wont be seen from inside. I added the slurry to the fairing all the way around the windscreen and applied more peel ply Tomorrow I will remove the peel ply and probably start the sanding process.... YUK!
