Brief Description:  Data plate engraved and positioned on plane

Installed a rubber hose hose from autozone to fill the gap and clean the look of the roll bar transition to the fiberglass windscreen fairing. Used permatex rubber contact cement.

The FAA got my reserved N number assigned and so I verified the information on the FAA web site matched exactly what I submitted and then dropped of my EAA data plate at the engraver for a laser etching. Match drilled two holes but didnt install the rivits yet because I hadnt recd the actual white registration copy in the mail. Fast fwd a few hours to now and in the mail today arrived my registration hard copy. I will put it in the aircraft tomorrow and rivit the data plate on now that I have verified the exact match of information.

The table in my hangar is now the display area for all the instructions and plans and loggs of the build to show the DAR when he arrives. Ive been trying to reach him for the last 5 days now and will try again tomorrow but if unsucessful again I might consider trying to contact someone else. I dont want to wait just to be told to mail all the documents IVve filled out to him and then wait again etc... Ill try to be patient but im ready to start this inspection. II hope to show pic of the Airworthiness document and standard handshake with DAR soon.

Note that time submitted do not reflect the several hours spent filling out documents etc as I dont think thats part of the plane build process but instead more of a legal process for first flight and phase one. Just thought I could mention this and point out the green EAA available step by step cetification guide that walks you thru the process as well as supplies the documents and data plate etc. Stgrongly suggest getting this guide.
