Brief Description: change ems setting for rpm indicator
Today really didnt yield any progress worth speaking of. I did dig out the Dynon installation manual and researched the rpm set up. I do have P-lead pick off leads to measure the rpm and thats a pulse type measure technique. The 50 kohm resistors installed are for stabilization and or unusualy high readings. Mine were about half expected and stable and so that makes the resistor install an unlikely issue at this point. The manual states that the initial setting is usualy 1/2 or 1/4 the number of cylinders. I had initial setting at 2 which is half the cylinders but my read out is about half speed so I dont know if this setting should be set to 1 or 4. I set it to 1 and will see on next start what happens. I also decided it would be best to adjust setting on dynon while engine is running if its still off. so thats the plan
I did a second real good check for oil drops and cleaned again
I hooked up the lap top to the serial port of dynon and down loaded the data from yesterdays run but since i dont have proper software installed on this lap top the data was useless. Not sure what Ill do about it just yet. Not real important right now anyway.
