Brief Description:  Front baggage area

I started to prepare for front top skin install. I first removed the panel screws to relax the panel mounting flange. I also loosened up the aux door in the bulhead for avionics.

I have trouble getting the upperskin to cleco on the sided up by the panel so I relieved the panel mount some with the dremel hoping that iyt will settle enough for the skin to fit better. we will see later.

Tightened up the adel clamps on the brake fluid line beneath the baggage floor

Added some stainless screws and nuts to the 3rd heat shield on firewall

Position the baggage floor and started to screw in the 20 screws when I decided this will be very hard to remove with skin in place. So I put a 8-32 tap in my angle drill and tapped the plate nuts so the screws are not so difficult to get in and out. Took longer than expected but I got them done. There are two that just wouldnt cooperate and so I added some washers so I wouldnt need to tighten very far.

Next step will be to try and cleco on the skin. If I still have trouble with it, I will be looking for another solution. If it goes on however, We will start the riviting process.
