Brief Description:  Cabin heat cable install-1

I spent much time on internet and looking thru plans for recommended cabin heat cable routing. Not much out there and my plans favor the rv 7 and rv9 and so zero help! To make it more irritating , the plans are showing the old style heat box and location so we are left to own method and locations. Thats ok but it takes a long time to run string different ways and then take a leap and drill the initial holes.
I decided that I wanted it to run thru the gear tower for asthetic reasons
I decided on the right side becaue the cable need to attach to the door lever from the right so that the pulling action opens for heat and closes when pushed in. You could come from left side but a 180 loop would be required.

I decided to drill the 3/8 hole in rt gear tower where I had an errant hole anyway and decided to use it. Turns out that the location is between lightming holes and wont really interfear with reaching in. Its also far enough away from my headphone jacks that I should not have any problem accidentaly pulling out the plug.

I then ran 12 inch drill bit straight thru into the fwd baggage compartment wall. Step drilled that hole for a plastic grommet .

Ran cable up to my spiral wraped wiring and added vinyl tube to the cable where I attached it to the wireing and zip tied to the plastic zip mounts. Note: a couple of adel clamps might be good isea but not going to mess with that yet.

Made a radius to left at firewall and added more protective tube to where it rubs against the firewall. I will add a single adl clamp to that area.

Drilled another hole in baggage wall to run thru and then above and behind the rudder/brake pedals. The brake pedals do not hit.

Added a cable clamp to the bolt holding heat box to firewall and will run bable thru it and tighten later.

Need to decide where to cut the exces outer sheath off and then if a simple hole in the angel is needed or if a slot would be better. Not sure I like the angle either so more thought required before I go to far here.
