Brief Description: Instrument panel access door-3 and more fiberglass
1. The 3 fiber glass tips almost passed my inspection this morning but not quite. I did some sanding and then decided to put another thin coat of micro on each. Used the fast setting hardner this time. After a f ew hours I inspected again and this time I have some bubbles and voids. Soooo, Another thin coat and face down on the wax paper they go.
2. My aluminum order came in from Airparts inc. out of Kansas City mo, so I traced out the doubler on the 032 sheet and the door and spacer were traced onto the 040 sheet. I then used the dremel to cut them out. I also used the dremel to cut the access hole in the bulkhead using the template for the doubler inside cut line. After all cuts made, the filing began. I got the doubler and door and spacer close to done but have not final trim or filed the access cut out. I plan to use the doubler as mu finish guide for that but will need to get it clamped and drilled for clecos first. I marked and center punched the drill hole locations along both halves of piano hinge making sure I offset them from the adjacent rivits in bulk head and braces.
