Spent 9 hours at the hangar today but only managed 3 hours work to show for it. Guess I spent too much time looking through the Van's catalouge for things I need.
1. unclecoed the baggage door asembly and deburred everything
2. Dimpled the exterior skin for flush rivits
3. Dimpled the obd rib and the fwd and aft ribs
4. primered the interior sides of the skin and ribs
5. Back rivited the obd rib to the outer skin
6. Clecoed and then rivited the 2 ribs to the exterior skin using rivit gun and bucking bar.
7. Rivited on the angle piece and hinge. Was able to use the pneumatic squeezer here.
8. Clecoed the interior skin in place and then positioned in place on the fwd fuselage. Going to need work for nice fit it appears.
9. Worked on the hinge pins slots until they were the right. Also used a tapered stone bit in dremel tool to just slightly inlarge the plastic bushing enough to freely slide over pis without grabbing.
Back rivit the outboard rib in place
Side ribs and angle with hinge all rivited
Inner skin clecoed on to door and place in position
