Brief Description:  VS squared verticaly and centerd longitudinaly. Dr

1. Centered the leading edge of VS to fuselage centerline using string from each end of a bar I clamped to the center hinge on VS to a point center of forward cross brace. Centered the leading edge by making measurements from the side of VS skin to the string and making sure they ere the same left and right. Also did the same from the center of leading edge to the strings.

2. Leveled the VS verticaly by using a 4 foot level laying flat against the 3 hinges. Moved the forward spar up and or down as required until the 3 hinges all touched the level evenly. Marked the position of the front spar with a sharpie.

Note: It was easier to use double sided tape to stick the spacer to the mount. This allows you to move the front spar around without messing with the spacer!

3. Final drilled the 2 An3 bolt holes #12 in the rear spar to angle/stop and put in bolts

4. Match drilled the 11 holes through the mounting plate, spacer, and front spar.

5. Removed the spacer and mounting bracket and deburred, removed tape and marked orientation of parts. CSCP the parts and reassembled.

6. Rivited the front spar to the mounting plate and spacer. Only could reach 7 of the 11 holes but can get them later when the VS is removed.
