Brief Description:  Fuel tanks closed up

1. Arrived to work on this at 5am to beat the heat. I cleaned all the surfaces of the access plate and the rib area as well as the fuel sender base and all the screws in MEK.

2. Miked up my pre measured proseal tank sealant and loaded in a cauking gun. Applied a generous amount to all the previous surfaces as well as rivits and plate nuts etc.

3. Working quickly since this stuff startes to set in only 30 min, I assembled the fuelsender to the access plate and then the assembly to the tank rib access hole. Tightened all the scews to a snug trying not to squeeze out too much sealant. Note: the cork gasket was left out as intended. I hope this works as advertised.

4. Applied a bead of sealant around all the exterior screw heads.

will let this driy until after Oshkosh Airventure when I will perform the leak test.
