Brief Description:  Spinner work and prop bolt safety wire

I decided that I wasnt going to primer the spinner bulk plates. They would get ugly and scratched with spinner rempval anyway and they can be kept polished and inspected for rust every year.

Installed the fwd crush plate on to the propeller hub and installed the 6 bolts supplied by Sensenich and then torqued them to 744 inch pounds wich is with in the recommended 720 to 780 specified. Torqued them up slowly working around skiping a bolt several rounds until the final torque pressures.

Safety wired the prop bolts in pairs with 040 safety wire

Sanded the outer surface of the spinner, cleaned and primered with sandable primer-2 coats. Wet sanded after waiting 2 hour dry time with 320 grit wet dary paper. Applied 3rd coat of primer and wetsanded again after 2 hours.

Applied a single stip of 8 oz glass to inside of spinner where the fwd crush plate rests. It was noticed by me that after adjusting spinner to be centered in alignment with crank that I must have allowed it to creep forward enough to leave a small gap around the edge of the bulkhead flange when it is screwed on. It is only big enough for a index card to push thru but it was bugging me because that can be just as bad as the spinner not beimg centered. So I ap[plied a single layer of 8oz glass to the inside circumfrence where that plate installs. I will let it set up and sand lightly tomorrow. That should be enough. I and test by seeing if the spinner can be pushed aft past the holes drilled any and if so, I might need a secound layer. Will see.
