Brief Description:  Fwd baggage door rebuild-1

Started the rebuild of my fwdf baggage door. The other one just did not fit well at all after rivitting the fwd skin on. It did not lay flush and the edge gaps were terrible.

I had purchased new door panels and ribs for the job.

I made a new piano hinge to line up with the previously drilled brace. Spent some time getting this exact! With it all clecoed together, I clecoed to the fuse and after many itterations back and forth with sanding the outer panel to fit in the opening, I got it where im pleased., I left it on the tight side so that I could adjust and fine tune the edge after its finished. So far the gap is much better and the door lays flush. I plan to deviate from the plans when it comes to riviting on the inner panel. I will use proseal and clecos on it and then strap door in place for a couple days before rivitting the inner panel.

Today I got the edges close and then got all 60 holes drilled to size, deburred, and then dimpled.
I also did it again for another 60 holes on the ribs and braces of which the skin will attach. When finished, I clecoed it all together again and installed to see if it still fits. It does! Moving on.
