Brief Description:  propeller/spinner gap plates rivited on, misc

As it turned out, the gap plates could not be rivited on with out romoving the prop AN the spacer that was previously pounded on with a sledge hammer. What a pain! The spinner was removed, the safety wire cut and bolts removed and prop laid on tabe with some short 2X4s to allow room for the spacer to be removed. The bolts I ground down a couple years ago for the wing fitting came in handy because I used them to pound the spacer guide pine out of the hub. worked great! Got the gap plates rivited on after needing to drill out a couple rivits that didnt set correctly.

While I had the front bulk plate free, I decided to make it fit in the spinner tighter. Added glass cloth evenly around the inside where the plate goes and let the epoxy set. After 3 itterations of this and the subsequent sanding, I had a good snug fit and didnt need to move the mounting holes.

The Prop, spacer, front plate were all re installed. The bolts retorqued and safety wired again ( better than before I think)

Spinner was sanded and re primered and then wet sanded before installing
Done!
