Brief Description:  Rubber gap seal installed left wing root

The wing root covers were previously trimmed short of touching the fuse skin. Today I wanted to fit the gap seal on and found that a gap of 3/16 seems about right. I trimmed the two root covers back some and polished and then worked on getting the rubber gap seal on. This proved difficult as I wasnt sure where to start. After some bantering back and forth I found that it works easier to start at the bottom portion of the front cover and work it on from there then around the leading edge and down the wing aft. I was able to slide the second cover piece on and continue down the wing. It seems that if you hold the metal at an angle and push inward and down, you can get a screw in and then keep going. I used one single pice of rubber gap seal for the entire left wing but Im not sure if others do this or not. It would probably be easier with 2 pieces but also mught want to come off in flight easier that way. Dont know but Ill leave mine as is.

I marked the right wing covers again and will make some final trims before installing the rubber on that side.
