Brief Description:  Final fitting of the lower empenage fairing

The aluminum strips that are secured below the HS and hold the rubber chanel seal needed to be marked and cut to allow the rubber seal to fit properly. I finally realized that just tracing a line in line with bottom edge of HS skin was not enough. The rubber needs to bend over and it sits about 5/64 in abover the edge too. So that needs to be accounted for. What seems to work is using a 5/64 inch drill bit and laying it on the bottom skin and then marking the faring skin. That seems to leave enough room for the rubber strip to fit and bend over. It still requires some pressure to get it in place for the screws but it works best I can tell.

Did the fitting and install on both sides using temp screws instead of the stainless. Ill install tyhe stainles screws when im sure its done and fitting. Still got some top side fairing work to get done.

The Top empenage fairing was done basicly as far as screw holes. I decided to primer it with fill primer to see what it looks like. Pin Hole city! So I guess Ill need to fill them with epoxy and acetone mix and do the sanding itterations to get smooth. Again, I just want it presentable and safe to fly. The final work prior tosanding can be done later.
