Brief Description: FAB filter bypass door and carb heat door cables r
decided on where the bottom emergency filter bypass air doors cable should be attached and I drilled the two rivit holes for the plate nutr and the screw hole and then squeezed the rivits.
With the FAb installed on the upper mounting plate, I tried multiple paths for the cable and finally decided on one and then routed it and secured with adel clamps ro a exhaust support tube and then down to the adel clamp I just installed on the FAB. Pulled the inner cable put some and cut to length and then tightened down. Ran inner wire back out and secured to the door as per plans. Cut off the excess. This is not a normal use item and is for emerhgency only and is only meant to open when pulled. Must land to close back up.
The same procedure was done with the other bowden cable for the carb heat door. This cable is attached to the engine mount, the cross support tube for exhaust tips and alo the FAB upper plate. Tested operation and satisfied with operation.
I cut and installed the final scat hose from heat muff to FAB carb heat inlet flange.
During the process of all the above I also ended up removing the clamp screws on both exhaust tops and adjusting with wiashers and adding adel clamp to rt side. I also must mention that a hardware ferry left a real nice aluminum spacer for my left side exhaust tip support. I dont know when this was left for me but I didnt notice it until today. I installed it and it looks great! Thanks, Mike!
