Brief Description:  Exhaust support hangers fit and install

The exhaust tips need to be positioned such that the lower cowling will not hit and also so that the lower cowl hinge pins can be removed. The question for me was if the pins should install from above the pipe or be low it. I would rather have the tip positioned in the middle equadistance from cowling lip and the metal belly ramp but that wont work for the pin. In my install you will see I elected to go with pipe position below the hinge pin line. To do this I needed to install the lower cowl. Position the pipes so that the pins will install. Have the pipes equal distance from the sides. I positioned them as such and made measurements. What seemed to work for me turned out to be one measurement as shown in photo one. I could position the ruller in the same configuration each time and so I marked a dot on the pipe where the ruller corner hit and noted the length from the bottom side eyelet. This is a must because fitting these hangars are impossible to do without moving the pipe in the process.

Removed the cowl and then installed the pipe clamps loose enough to turn and reposition as required. They are moved up or down the pipe as required to bring the support tubes in line and close to eachother.

When I had the clamp on one side close to where it needed to be, I cut 4 inch piece of rubber tube and after flaring the ends of the tubes slightly and a bit of lube, I slid the hose on to each hanger rod to a premarked line I made and then pulled into position and added the harware. Sounds easy right? Checked my pipe position and moved back into desired location. I did not clamp down the hose over suport tubes yet.

Did the other side support hanger clamp and tube as before. Repositioned that pipe

The center horizontal tie required cutting the rods as they are too ling. Cut them so that They would fit with no more than 1/4 inch gap as was done with fitting the hangers. Deburr and flare slightly ( the plans say to flatten the ends some but I elected to flare slight bit instead) The oil up some and install the
